Self-Nominations now open for Conference leadership teams
The North Alabama Conference Nominations and Leadership Development Team is excited to announce that self-nominations are now open for anyone who feels called to leadership in the North Alabama Conference.
Self-nominations may be submitted online at www.umcna.org/selfnomination.
Those United Methodists who self-nominate may indicate specific teams on which they feel called to serve. However, doing so is not required. The Conference Nominations and Leadership Development Team will evaluate all self-nominations considering the Conference’s leadership needs including standing Conference teams, future teams and other opportunities.
The online self-nomination tool is part of a new process being implemented by the Nominations and Leadership Development Team in furtherance of the Conference’s mission to discover, develop and deploy spiritual leaders to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. All self-nominations will remain on file for up to four years. In addition to Conference team vacancies that will be filled at the June 2023 Annual Conference, self-nominations submitted now will also be considered for the significant number of team vacancies that will be filled in 2024 for the new quadrennium.
Self-nominations will be considered on an ongoing basis; however, those who wish to be considered to fill leadership vacancies in 2023 are asked to self-nominate by May 7.
More information can be found at www.umcna.org/nominations, by emailing nominations@umcna.org. You may also contact your district superintendent, district lay leader, or other member of the Conference Nominations and Leadership Development Team from your district.
