Sumatanga Action Team in action during Gathering of the Orders and Fellowship of Local Pastors and Associate Members

11/1/2019

The Camp Sumatanga Action Team was created in April 2019 to study, advise and reform the governance and management of the Camp. Earlier this week, during the annual Gathering of the Orders and Fellowship of Local Pastors and Associate Members event, the team took on additional duties and helped with the food preparation for the lunch at this Conference-wide clergy gathering on October 28.

Action Team members, Andy Wolfe, Neeysa Biddle, Terry McElheny and Sandy Wright were joined by Sumatanga Board members Laura Sisson and Eleanor Christianson and Interim Executive Director of Camp Daphne Orr as they chopped, sliced, assembled, mixed, dished, grilled, scooped and drizzled along with the Sumatanga staff. Plus, Terry McElheny made a presentation on the Summer Camp Model and reviewed the information in the October Communique to the Women Clergy who met in McKinney-Akins for lunch.

Thank you to all these spiritual leaders who are serving the North Alabama Conference through service to (and at) Camp Sumatanga!
