UMCOR Sunday is March 27, 2022

The 2022 United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Sunday Pastor and Leader’s Kit is now available and provides resources to teach your congregation why we recognize and celebrate UMCOR Sunday locally and globally.  ​This Special Sunday kit provides a full package of ready-to-use resources to help your church celebrate the UMCOR Special Sunday and define how we give, why we give and the impact we make through connectional efforts.

UMCOR Sunday is one of six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. This Sunday calls United Methodists to share the goodness of life with those who hurt.

When congregations and individuals give to a special offering on UMCOR Sunday (formerly One Great Hour of Sharing), they empower the United Methodist Committee on Relief to act as the arms and legs of Christ’s church. This special Sunday offering underwrites UMCOR’s “costs of doing business,” allowing UMCOR to keep the promise that 100% of any gift to a specific UMCOR project will go toward that project, not administrative costs.
