UMVIM Awareness Sunday will be September 25

The reach of the United Methodist Church is far — and that's because of you.  Mission teams, giving, prayer, partnerships and awareness from your local church do more good than you realize.

On Sunday, September 25, 2016,  you are invited to celebrate mission in your congregation as part of the annual United Methodist Volunteers in Mission Awareness Sunday.

Additionally, you are invited to celebrate the ministry of United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, SEJ who helps make all those connections possible.  (In case you were wondering, it takes a lot of work!)

UMVIM, SEJ is the short-term mission sending agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. UMVIM exists to promote, encourage and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love in Action” through short-term mission service at home and abroad.

UMVIM provides opportunities for service by developing and nurturing relationships with domestic and international leaders. They continually nurture contacts with these leaders to respond to the needs of local communities and provide comprehensive training resources for team leaders to help prepare their teams for the mission field.

You can find UMVIM Mission Awareness Sunday resources including song, liturgy, and scripture suggestions; a poster; bulletin insert; and promotional video at
