United Methodist Higher Education Foundation accepting scholarship applications for the 2021-2022 academic year
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation provides more than $2 million in scholarships every year to United Methodist students attending UM-related institutions of higher education. Applications for the 2021-2022 academic year are being accepted through March 1, 2021, at umhef.org/apply/.
UMHEF offers two main scholarship programs.
- The Dollars for Scholars Program is a non-competitive scholarship that begins with a $1,000 award from your United Methodist Church and is matched by UMEHF for a total of $2,000. The award can also be matched by participating UM-related schools and UM Conference Foundations for a possible total of up to $4,000. The North Alabama United Methodist Foundation, Inc. is a participant. (Click for the full list of participating Foundations and Schools.)
- The General Named Endowed Scholarship Program is a traditional program that includes awards of various amounts from named funds established by various donors. For more information about these programs, eligibility requirements, and how to apply, visit https://www.umhef.org/scholarships/.
The grand vision of the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation is that it be economically possible for any qualified United Methodist student to be educated at a United Methodist-related institution of higher education. Let UMHEF help make your dreams of a higher education possible.
