USMP launches Jesus Library in their Better Way Shoppes

"There has been another collaborative ministry effort launched at the Upper Sand Mountain Parish!" explains USMP Executive Director Rev. James "Woody" Woodin.

Thanks to Henry Everitt and Benny Sisk and their mission partners at Trinity UMC in Huntsville, the Jesus Library is spreading the Gospel of Jesus the Christ to the children of thrift store shoppers on Sand Mountain.

The way this new ministry works is when families with young children come and shop at one of USMP's Better Way Shoppes the children gravitate to the “Children’s Activity Area.” There an animated movie is running continuously on a flat screen TV that tells the biblical story of Jesus Christ from proclamation to ascension. Then at the checkout counter the family will find the DVD and other items relating to the movie for sale at a greatly reduced price.

Woodin adds, "My staff and I are very excited to partner with 'The Jesus Library' team of Trinity UMC in sharing the story of our Lord and Savior! Please join us in prayer that many children and their families will encounter the living Christ through this evangelistic endeavor."
